The Netflix original series Floor Is Lava is a high-stakes reality competition show. In each episode, small teams must navigate through rooms flooded with "lava" by leaping from chairs, hanging from curtains, and swinging from chandeliers. Those that make it to the end receive a cool $10,000 and a trophy in the form of a lava lamp. The series has often been compared to Legends of the Hidden Temple, the popular action-adventure TV game show that aired on Nickelodeon in the 1990s.

Hosted by Rutledge Wood, the first season of Floor Is Lava premiered on June 19, 2020. After a two-year hiatus, the series returned for Season 2 on June 3, 2022.
